members of Shikshataru Education and Learning Foundation (SELF),
Mr. Rahmdeen and Dr. Kiran Dhiman, provided important information
to students about drug abuse and HIV/AIDS.
The program began with a welcome address by the Principal of
the institute, Mr. Mahendra Kumar. In his address, he stated that
today’s youth are facing several social evils, among which drug
addiction and sexually transmitted diseases are major concerns.
Therefore, it is extremely important to provide proper guidance to
students.

Dr. Kiran Dhiman provided detailed information about HIV/AIDS,

and carelessness. She advised students to adopt safe practices and
remain aware. She also emphasized that although there is no
permanent cure for HIV, it can be prevented through proper
precautions and correct information. She further urged students not to
discriminate against people living with HIV/AIDS and to support them.
During the program, students actively participated, asked various
questions, and got their doubts clarified. They found the session highly
informative and beneficial. On this occasion, Mr. Bharat Bhushan, a
member of the organization, also shared information about life skills
with the students. In the end, Principal Mahendra Kumar thanked the
members of the Foundation and stated that such programs should be
organized regularly. At the conclusion of the program, students took a
pledge to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness among
others.
